There are many ways to support the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery. This art gallery has been made possible through the generosity of donors from within our community, including current parents and Old Girls. The Gallery is also supported by significant artists and collectors who have generously either donated or loaned artworks for us all to enjoy. We look forward to working with new friends as we continue to strengthen our collections and programs.

The Grace Cossington Smith Gallery is endorsed  as a deductible gift recipient under Subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.

Not only will the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery benefit our internal community, it will provide us with an avenue to reach out to the wider community. Artworks donated through bequests in favour of the Abbotsleigh Foundation will play a significant role in building the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery art collection.

Any artworks offered to the Gallery will be considered alongside Abbotsleigh’s Collection Policy. Works donated will be cared for and managed according to the highest international museum standards, and will be accessible for research and public enjoyment.

One of the key goals for the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery is to deliver an exhibition program characterised by quality, diversity and professionalism. Our aim is to enrich both the student and local community through a rich and varied program.

GCS Gallery seeks proposals for solo and group exhibitions.
With a focus on contemporary art practices we invite submissions from emerging and established artists and curators. We favour exhibitions that explore ideas and thinking across a range of subjects and themes, enabling connections to learning.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal to exhibit in the GCS Gallery, find information on how to apply here, from 1 April. While all proposals are considered, the program is by selection or, in the case of special events, by invitation.
